Strong Chef de Partie or Sous Chef

This members-only golf club is looking for a strong Chef de Partie or Sous Chef to strengthen the team. The kitchen serves a busy breakfast menu, spikes bar snacks, paninis and light lunches throughout the week but also caters for functions, canapés, private parties, fork buffets and banquets. This is a home cooking operation not fast food or gastro pub with as much as possible made in house.  Duties will include working alone at quiet times.

Main duties:

  • Support the Head Chef to ensure that every aspect of the service runs smoothly.
  • Work on all sections of the kitchen as needed.
  • Run the kitchen when left in charge.
  •  Supervise junior staff.
  • Some kitchen management duties

Required: Qualifications / Skills / Experience

  • Professional Cookery level 2 or 3
  • Passion and enthusiasm for food and quality,
  • Relevant experience in a similar fresh food outlet
  • Excellent attention to detail
