Assistant General Manager Casual Fine Dining Restaurant

We are looking for an enthusiastic and personable professional Assistant General Manager with experience of serving quality food and fine wine for an 80-cover casual fine dining restaurant in Kensington. The kitchen produces a seasonal high quality contemporary Mediterranean menu with strong influences from Peru and Latin America. Front of House the service is well-organized, relaxed, and professional and includes dining on 2 floors, a cocktail bar, terrace and live music events.

Duties will include working with the GM, owners and Head Chef to ensure that every aspect of the service runs smoothly.

Main Responsibilities:

• Customer care & quality assurance
• Train, manage and motivate staff.
• Hygiene, and health & safety
• Compliance with licensing laws and other legal requirements
• All food & beverage service
• Reservations & driving sales.
• Cashing up, banking, GP, payroll

Experience Required

• Minimum 1 year in a similar role
• Up to date with Epos software and online ordering
• Attention to detail
• Customer focused
• Positive and approachable manner
• Team player

Our ideal candidate will be an experienced restaurant manager capable of delivering a relaxed yet professional dining experience ensuring the business is run efficiently and that sales targets are met. You must be comfortable taking direction from the business owners and be able to operate as a member of a management team working to the same end goals, with customer experience being paramount.
