Operations Manager

We are looking for an enthusiastic, personable and professional Operations Manager, with a strong background in multi-site, seasonal environments, to oversee all aspects of the running of three very busy park-based café restaurants delivering a relaxed yet professional dining experience, ensuring the business is run efficiently and that sales targets are met.

As Operations Manager, you will have a hands-on role in all three park cafes, your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing senior management teams across all sites and ensuring consistent culture and values.
  • Contract renewals including internet & phone. Overseeing utilities contracts
  • Supplier relationships, account set ups, costs of goods, managing stock takes ensuring the costs are up to date
  • Liaising with councils and park authorities
  • In charge of the compliance and maintenance contract company.
  • Recruiting, training and retaining senior staff to ensure they and their teams deliver the highest levels of hospitality in a consistent manner
  • Proactively looking to maintain the reputation of the brand, consistency of products and efficiency of costs across sites.
  • Maintaining a thorough knowledge of the day-to-day operations  and guest feedback
  • Having a car, and being willing to drive, for example to buy supplies from wholesalers, if stocks run out over a busy weekend, or transfers between sites.
  • Being willing to work most weekends.
  • Overseeing maintenance issues across all three sites
  • Being a figure head of all staff for problem solving, customer complaints, staff issues and leading the team with confidence

 

Prerequisites for the role:

  • Previous experience as an Operations Manager overseeing multiple restaurants in a casual dining space.
  • Hospitality led, people first view to running restaurants, along with a willingness to take a hands-on approach to the role.
  • Thorough knowledge of food and beverage operations.
  • Willingness to lead by example and get involved in the day-to-day operations of individual sites where required.
  • Strong understanding of restaurant commercials and financials,
  • Prior experience with stock, Epos, HR, and delivery systems.
